About
I’m a product designer based in the Northern Virginia/Washington D.C. area with a broad understanding of user research and product design. With a rich background in psychology complemented by diverse experiences in the military and customer service fields, I bring a unique blend of adaptability, focus, and empathy to my work.
My time in the military taught me invaluable traits like resilience and problem-solving, while my academic journey in psychology equipped me with a solid grasp of human behavior and research methodologies. At the same time, my roles in customer service sharpened my ability to understand and meet consumer needs effectively.
In regards to user research, I’m proficient in conducting user interviews and testing sessions and emphasizing with users, while specializing in pinpointing the root causes of issues faced by users and crafting effective solutions to address them. In product design, I specialize in devising strategic user interactions and delivering visually appealing, responsive designs meeting both client and user needs.
My transition into UX was fueled by my passion for psychology and design and driven by a pursuit for a career that integrates intellectual stimulation with creative expression. Upon discovering UX as a potential pathway, everything fell into place, aligning perfectly with my desire for meaningful, passion-driven work.
Outside of refining my skill set and collaborating with fellow designers, I find joy and inspiration in a variety of hobbies, such as learning french, practicing french pastry techniques, candle making, painting, and hiking with my dogs.
